Andrew provides strategic direction and advice on all financial matters, helping to navigate the continuing challenges and opportunities of a growing business.

Andrew is Partner lead for our Residential and Masterplanning & Placemaking portfolios. His work is centred around the philosophy of contributing to the greater good through the wider public realm, with a diverse range of projects across refurbishment, conservation, high density urban realm and mixed-use development. As our Design lead, Andrew’s design and management skills have contributed to multiple awards including the inaugural RIAS Presidents Medal for Placemaking.

Catriona is our Partner lead for the north and leads our Civic, Community and Arts sector. Catriona is currently the President of the Highlands & Islands Architectural Association which is the northern chapter of RIAS. Catriona is a highly experienced architect in the areas of arts buildings, adaptive reuse and community projects, with particular experience in projects which involve third sector clients, extensive community liaison and stakeholder engagement.

Drawing from her diverse career, including experience in financial services, Katharine has a natural ability to bring a real-world perspective and commercial acumen which are crucial to our continued growth and success.

Les joined us following the merger with Leslie Hutt Architects in 2023, with an extensive portfolio of clients across the north of Scotland and Western Isles. His portfolio includes a range of private and social housing, hotel, leisure and commercial developments and more recently the award winning HydroNess project. Les is an active lead in the Highlands and Islands Architectural Association and is an accredited Principal Designer.

Mark oversees multiple sectors with particular expertise in design for preventative healthcare, science, and creating sustainable communities. With a passion for placemaking and human centric design, many of Mark's projects have been recognised with design awards, including for new healthcare building design and in recognition of his approach to solving complex designs in live operational environments.

Paul is our Partner lead for Healthcare and Sustainability and is passionate about good design which simplifies the complex to provide sustainable, patient centred solutions. He was project architect for the highly acclaimed Stratheden Hospital, regarded as an exemplary model for mental health design due to its significant impact on patient care and recovery. Paul is a member of Architects for Health and has completed a masters in Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies.

As Managing Partner, leads the growth and direction of the Practice and is Partner lead for the Science & Technology and Education sectors. He has extensive experience leading wide-ranging multidisciplinary design teams on complex projects from small refurbishments to large scale masterplans and new build state-of-the-art research facilities. With collaboration at the heart of Phil’s ethos, he co-leads Oberlander’s involvement with the IDeA Network – a global alliance of like-minded architectural practices committed to sharing world class knowledge and expertise, delivered in a local context. Phil is also a member of I2SL (Institute for Sustainable Laboratories) who are committed to supporting transformative action to reduce carbon emissions in the science and research sector. Along with colleagues across the UK Built Environment, Phil is currently leading the establishment of a UK Chapter of the Institute to extend the impact of their work closer to home. He also sits on the Board of the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) as Director representing Business Affiliate Members.
Phil sits on the Regional Board of Borders College and on the Board of Governors of St Mary’s School in the Scottish Borders. He is a Scottish Ambulance Service First Responder and a member of the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue team.

His strong organisational and motivational skills, coupled with excellent analytical and technical expertise means he delivers the most complex and demanding projects on time and within budget. It is this combined with his careful and attentive approach to innovation design that results in long standing client relationships.
