Oberlanders is a multi-award winning Architectural Practice with extensive experience in the education, healthcare, bio-technology, scientific, residential, retail and sports and leisure sectors.
Established in 1983 by Jack Oberlander and David Lawson, we have grown steadily into Oberlanders Architects LLP, run by four Partners and supported by a host of talented, experienced and enthusiastic personnel. We occupy all four floors of our Category A listed town house, located in Edinburgh’s historic west end, purchased and sympathetically refurbished in 2007.
We are committed to contextual, timeless, inspiring and simple, elegant design solutions which are also technically competent, prudent, practical and deliverable. We handle a broad variety of complex projects, from our largest to date with a value in excess of £120m, to projects of £500,000 and less.
We work collaboratively with clients, engineers and others, believing that our projects are enhanced through multi-discipline integration of design and construction. We have extensive experience of working with, and for, national contractors and developers and of team working on framework commissions for local and national public authorities. We utilise and regularly invest in the latest technology and management resources. Good design management is integral to our approach, enabling us to deliver the most complex of projects, on time and on budget.
Much of our portfolio represents repeat business from loyal and well established clients and we pride ourselves in consistent and successful delivery across a broad variety of project sectors.
