Philip Macdonald accepts an invitation to join the board of I2SL

Our Managing Partner, Philip Macdonald, has recently accepted an invitation to join the board of I2SL – the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories.
The Board of I2SL are responsible for driving the organisation towards its goal of providing the education and information needed to ensure the safe and sustainable design, operation and use of laboratories and facilities for science and research.
I2SL’s roots are in the US market where they were established in 2004 and have since grown to become a global network.
In March this year, we saw the launch of the I2SL UK Chapter which brings the transformational work being done elsewhere, to our home turf. Phil has been a key part of the working group for the I2SL UK Chapter and is one of its founding Directors.
The invitation to join the main I2SL Board position is a fantastic opportunity for the UK Chapter to firmly establish its roots within the wider organisation. It's another step forward in promoting best practice design and shaping a sustainable landscape for the science and innovation sector in the UK and beyond.
