Virtual public consultation for Scourie Rocks

Virtual public consultation for Scourie Rocks

We are absolutely delighted to have worked in conjunction with Catriona Hill from CH Architecture on Scourie Rocks, an amazing project, at Scourie on the north coast of Scotland.

Scourie Rocks, would accommodate the Shelley Collection - rocks, crystals and fossils gathered from across the world by Sutherland geologist, the late Donald Shelley.  Initial funding for the project has been thanks to the generosity of the Duke of Westminster, with future funding dependant on successful funding applications.

Showing that virtual consultation is not only possible, but can be informative and engaging,  the team held the public consultation last week. The recording of the session can be found here https://vimeo.com/428526518

Catriona will be lodging a planning application with Highland Council by the end of June. Subject to a positive planning decision, we will then be keeping our fingers crossed that the funding landscape will enable this exciting, community-led project to get out the ground.
