Planning success for Scourie Rocks

Planning success for Scourie Rocks

We are delighted to announce that plans for the Scourie Rocks exhibition and visitor attraction, have been approved by Highland Council.

This has been a hugely rewarding project so far, that included a virtual consultation process in June. Catriona will be continuing to provide ad-hoc support to the team, as the Scourie team start to progress their plans for funding.

Neil Macdonald, chairman of SCDC and a member of the Scourie Community Council, said:

“Scourie Rocks will have a huge impact in the area, providing employment, education opportunities and much needed community facilities. We are delighted it has been approved and we can now look forward to progressing the plans and developing funding package for the centre. The SCDC would like to thank all our consultants who assisted in the development of Scourie Rocks with special thanks to our architect Catriona Hill now of Oberlanders."
