Oberlanders have recently completed feasibility proposals for a new £6.8m research laboratory at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. The project links the existing Medical Research, University and Cancer Research laboratory buildings on the east side of the hospital to form a new world class research institute. The project includes 2000sq.m of gross additional floor space providing dry-lab computational research space as well as seminar/lecture facilities and cafe. The building is designed to provide a link structure to all three existing buildings and also to provide a new frontage to the hospital site from the east.
