Moredun Research Institute, Pentlands Science Park
This £9m research laboratory facility was the final component of Oberlanders’ £30m Pentland Science Park. Several 200 sq m laboratory modules were clustered around a top lit atrium, which provides additional meeting spaces for smaller gatherings and acts as a centre for cross disciplinary contact.
The atrium space is the perfect environment for exhibitions, product launches, seminars and marketing presentations, while also enabling Moredun to easily seat 250 members at their annual general meetings. With the Institute’s laboratories and offices overlooking the atriuma scientific backcloth was provided for the presentation of research and ideas for the future which is arguably unrivalled.
