Merchants’ Hall Refurbishment, Hanover Street Edinburgh
Undertaken on a rolling programme from 2009 to 2011, Oberlanders have assisted with the refurbishment of the magnificent Grade A Listed Merchants’ Hall for The Company of Merchants of The City of Edinburgh.
Work included interior design to the main Hall, Court Room and associated Crush Hall / Reception Area; incorporating a new heating system and lighting which highlights architectural features such as the dome, paintings and sculptures.
The interiors were handled in a manner respectful of the Company, which was incorporated by Royal Charter by King Charles II in 1681.
