Hamilton Sheriff Court, Hamilton

Hamilton Sheriff Court is a grade B listed building dating from about 1850. The building was refurbished for the Scottish Courts Administration and involved upgrading of 3 courts and all associated accommodation.

The project included the restoration of highly ornate ceilings, white oak paneling and marble & timber floors. Substantial fabric repairs were undertaken with the courts remaining in use throughout the construction work.

Completed in 1992 at a cost of £2M.
