St Vincent Place, Edinburgh
This multi award-winning development comprises 39 high quality residential units in a single urban development. The mass and scale was developed from the Planning Brief for the site and involved extending Fettes Row to St Vincent Street in a continuous landscaped pedestrian street.
The residential building is of a scale and proportion appropriate to the traditional Georgian Streetscape and includes two storey maisonettes with double height living rooms and penthouse flats with roof terraces on the top floor level. The North elevation of the building is designed to reflect the existing scale and proportion of Fettes Row and is finished in natural stone with timber sash & case windows. The South elevation is designed in a more contemporary manner with terne-coated steel clad ‘boxes’ alternating with open balconies with stainless steel railings and aluminium framed double-glazed curtain walling.
