VI Form & Technology Centres, Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh
Constructed as part of the School’s tercentenary celebrations in 1995 the VI Form Centre provided a new build ‘pavilion’ extension to the existing school, comprising a Sixth form study area, common room, social facilities plus PE changing rooms with direct access to the playing fields.
The pavilion features extensive glazed areas behind a full length colonnade and central terrace taking advantage of the south facing views across the playing fields.
The technology centre was created out of ‘found’ space to provide modern facilities for pupils to learn computer skills and was completed in 1988
