Stewart's Melville VI Form Centre, Edinburgh
The Sixth Form Centre is situated within the grounds of the Grade A listed Daniel Stewart’s College. The Centre bounds the eastern edge of the sports lawns and faces onto the Old College and Queensferry road.
The rising roof profile, together with the balcony and columns, seeks to expressively terminate the existing dining block. The contemporary design is a contrast to the traditional formality of the Old College and its landscaped setting. Completed in June 1999 at a project cost of £900,000.
