Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and School of Architecture University of Dundee, Dundee

Oberlanders have been selected, from a list of nearly 60 applicants, to undertake a major phased £15m redevelopment of the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and School of Architecture for the University of Dundee. The College currently occupies two existing concrete framed buildings on Perth Road, within the main University campus. The project involves major refurbishment and alteration to improve the fabric condition of both buildings and to provide improved teaching, learning and research facilities for students and staff. Oberlanders first task will be to undertake comprehensive surveys of both buildings and then to draw up a development masterplan, which is expected to be rolled out over the next five years. The project will be led for Oberlanders by Philip Macdonald, a graduate of the School of Architecture at Dundee.
