Forth Valley College, Falkirk
Oberlanders in association with Dyer Global Architects were delighted to be shortlisted by Forth Valley College to participate in the design tender process for their new 22,500 sqm College HQ. This project to accommodate 2000 further education students was procured under The Scottish Futures Trust NPD (non-profit distributing) revenue funding model.
Our proposal, influenced by the historic Falkirk Town Centre, was based on a Learning Street as the beating heart and essence of the college and is designed to facilitate social, student focused innovative learning. It is a strong visual statement of the College’s progressive approach to education.
All at Oberlanders-Dyer were proud of our competition design, which was enthusiastically received by the client. However it was just not enough to get us “over the line”. We are however looking forward to other opportunities to exercise our collaborative synergy as a team.
