Centre for Health Sciences 2 gains Planning Approval

Highland Council has granted planning permission for the new healthcare and life sciences innovation centre at Inverness Campus. The £40m project has been designed by Oberlanders, working in conjunction with Mott Macdonald, Hulley Kirkwood, Horner MacLennan, Thomson Gray, Axiom and Balfour Beatty,


for NHS Highland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and University of the Highlands and Islands. The new facility will include a 28 bed elective care centre for NHS Highland’s Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic departments complete with four operating theatres and outpatient services. The facility will also contain business start-up facilities, a knowledge and innovation hub and an active health centre.
