Oberlanders are delighted to confirm the successful completion of the new £2m Regional Pathology Laboratory at Monklands Hospital for NHS Lanarkshire. Oberlanders provided architectural services as part of the GRAHAM Construction PSCP team, delivering an extensive programme of healthcare works for NHS Lanarkshire across their estate.
Mylne's Court, Scotland's Oldest Student Residences
We have been appointed by The University of Edinburgh to undertake a feasibility study focused on Scotland’s oldest official Student Residences. The study will explore how the Patrick Geddes 17th Century Category A Listed buildings, New College Residence, a few steps from Edinburgh Castle, can continue to host students and visitors in the decades and century’s to come.
NHS Lothian – St John’s Hospital, Livingston
Oberlanders have been selected as part of the Graham Construction PSCP team to deliver a framework programme of major works for NHS Lothian at St John’s Hospital in Livingston. The commission involves development and expansion of surgical facilities on the site as well as an extensive programme of backlog maintenance and transport infrastructure works.
University of Edinburgh – IGMM Centre for Translational Research
We've been appointed by the University of Edinburgh to undertake the latest phase of development at the IGMM Complex, Western General Hospital. Involving internal alterations to the existing Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre Design, work is due to commence on site late 2016.
University of Edinburgh – Hospital for Small Animals
Oberlanders were appointed by the University of Edinburgh to conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Hospital for Small Animals at the Easter Bush campus and to prepare a capability assessment for future development options for this facility.
University of Edinburgh – Easter Bush Public Realm
Oberlanders with Wardell Armstrong have been appointed by the University of Edinburgh to develop the public realm strategy for the Easter Bush Campus. The project will develop a robust and innovative public realm strategy to support future development at this internationally renowned veterinary campus.

The Craigdon Mountain Sports retail facility was officially opened by Manus Fullerton from Visit Scotland on the 15th of August 2015.
Slateford Road Handed Over On Schedule
The student housing phase of the project was successfully handed over on time, on the 10th of July, ready for the new academic year.
Dario Sets New World Record Playing 105 Hours Of Football
Dario Alonzi from Oberlanders and fellow players set a new world record for the longest 11-a-side match, in memory of the late Falkirk defender Craig Gowans, who died in 2005. The final score at Ainslie Park, was 774-707. Oberlanders were pleased to have contributed to the sponshorship of the match.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on site to cut the first sod at our new Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit for NHS Fife at Stratheden Hospital near Cupar.

Raigmore Hospital Critical Services Upgrade
Planning Consent was gained for our major critical services upgrades at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The project involves alteration of the ground and first floors to provide 10 new operating theatres, new Intensive Care, Medical and Surgical High Dependency Units and a new Day Surgery Unit.
Monklands Hospital Theatres and ICU Upgrade
Planning Consent and Stage 1 Building Warrant approval gained for our project at Monklands Hospital, involving construction of a new Intensive Care Unit together with a phased replacement and upgrade of the Surgical Department to provide 7 new operating theatres and reception/recovery areas.
NHS Fife Stratheden IPCU
Fife Council have granted planning consent for our new IPCU project at Stratheden Hospital in Cupar. Oberlanders are currently preparing construction packages in advance of the planned site start in May 2015. Construction is expected to last 12 months on site.
University of Edinburgh and SRUC – Laboratory Facilities, Easter Bush
We’ve been appointed by the University of Edinburgh and SRUC to prepare a feasibility study and options appraisal for new central surveillance laboratory facilities at the Easter Bush campus. The study commences in early April 2015 and is expected to complete within three months.
European Marine Science Park, Oban – Laboratory Fitout for Highlands and Islands Enterprise
We've been appointmed by HIE to undertake a partial fit out of Malin House at the EMSP in Dunstaffnage near Oban to provide additional research laboratory space. Design work on the project is expected to commence in early April.
Moredun Business Hub
Oberlanders won the bid to progress the design of a new Business Hub extension to the Moredun headquarters at the Pentlands Science Park. The planning application is targeted to be submitted in June 2015.
Monklands Hospital – New Pathology Laboratories
Works have commenced on site at Monklands Hospital to create a new regional Pathology Laboratory unit for NHS Lanarkshire. The project involves strip out and alteration of an existing office block to provide new laboratories, consultant rooms and ancillary space. Works are expected to be completed by late 2015.
Edinburgh Napier University – Merchiston Campus
Oberlanders have been appointed by Edinburgh Napier University to undertake a space planning and option appraisal study for their Merchiston Campus in Edinburgh. The project will consider various scenarios as part of the University’s wider campus development strategy.
Dental Operating Suite, Inverness
A private dental practice in Inverness commissioned Oberlanders to design a specialist dental facility, including a new operating suite, local decontamination unit and associated clinical prep areas.
IGMM Complex – Completion
Following successful completion and handover of the first phase of the IGMM Complex in November 2014, the second and final phase was completed on programme in January 2015. The University are now completing their internal fit-out works ahead of the scheduled occupation of the building in April 2015
